My name is Susan Murphy and I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada with my husband, 2 cats, 2 dogs and various fish. Professionally, I have spent the past 18 years or so doing everything from producing television shows to technical writing to developing web content. These days, I am an entrepreneur, a writer, a media producer, and a teacher.
I’m co-owner of a media production company called Jester Creative. We bring to this industry a wealth of knowledge and experience in “traditional” forms of media and combine this with our growing portfolio of new media projects that includes video podcasts, social media and eLearning. I am also a part time professor at Algonquin College’s School of Media and Design.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, singing and playing guitar, traveling with my husband and of course, blogging.
Read your blog with great interest. Your musings about preparedness are bang on.
